INTERNSHIP PICK OF THE WEEK The Legislative Gazette
Benefits:
Students have an opportunity to attend press conferences and ask questions of the NYS governor. Political science seminars are also available and students may be eligible to receive up to 15 college credits by completing the program. Students also get an opportunity to work with reporters from The New York Times, NBC, amongst others.
Students also receive a bi-monthly stipend over the course of their internship.
Internships in
journalism are particularly valuable since experience in the field is usually a prerequisite for hiring new employees for the majority of publications. Students interested in political science get a chance to not only write but the opportunity to learn more about government at the state level.
