INTERNSHIP PICK OF THE WEEK Congressman Randy Forbes Congressional Internships

Congressman Randy Forbes will be offering fall internships to students and new graduates who are interested in learning more about working in a US Congressional office.

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to residence of the 4th Congressional District in Virginia but all students may apply for the internship. Congressman Forbes also has internships available in his Washington DC office.

Locations:

• Colonial Heights, VA
• Washington DC
• Chesapeake, VA

Intern Responsibilities:

• Interaction with constituents
• Administrative duties
• Assisting staff with research
• Attending hearings and briefings

Benefits:

Students will be educated to the workings of the U.S. House of Representatives. The opportunity to get “hands-on” experience in the functions of the federal government while gaining valuable experience not learned in the classroom. All internships are unpaid.
