Intern Blogs on Her Experience in the UK
Aggie is now half-way through her 6 week internship with CMI in London. She is sharing her internship experience this summer on Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) blog site. CMI is a chartered professional body committed to the lifelong development of management and leadership in the UK. Aggie is working in the marketing department at CMI and she will be writing a diary (blog) throughout her six week experience with the company.
Aggie recently made a comment on the Internships blog “Internships Abroad Require Planning” telling briefly about her experience and her boyfriend’s internship in Canada.
Adrian, Content and Communities manager at CMI, asked Aggie a series of questions as she began her internship experience. In this blog Adrian refers to a quote made by Alexis Herman, former Secretary of Labour in the Bill Clinton administration,“There is no substitute really for learning about the world of work and being in the world of work. You can do that through internships. You can do it through summer job experiences or even from volunteer jobs in your local community. Strive early to get some kind of practical work experience.”
If you’re currently doing an internship abroad or have recently completed one, we’d like to hear about your experience. I’m also looking for students who would like to write about their internship abroad experience or would agree to do an interview.
Tell us, What’s your #1 reason for doing an internship abroad?
How about you, what do you think?
