Study tip: How to conduct yourself on exam day in order to maximize your grade

By admin On December 23, 2011 Under College Life

Final exams are coming up, and many students are getting anxious about how they’ll perform.  Which is understandable.  Having four or more exams in a span of a single week will strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest students.

The most important thing you can do to increase your chances of getting a good grade on a final exam is to adequately study and prepare for it — not only during the days and weeks prior to the exam, but throughout the entire term.

Apart from that, however, there are a few things you should keep in mind on exam day.  Here are the eight steps to exam success that you should implement on exam day in order to maximize your chances of performing well:

1. Show up early
2. Bring plenty of supplies
3. Ignore pre-exam chitchat
4. Read the directions—and follow them to a T
5. Glance over exam and get a feel for it
6. Budget your time
7. Answer the questions in order
8. Do not finish early (use all the time allowed)

That’s it.  Good luck on your finals!
